Tasks and responsibilities
Coordinate implementation of all project activities according to the approved work plan and ensure proper follow-up;
Enable and support the effective communication between project core team, Technical Support team and project counterparts, establishing necessary coordination mechanisms;
Support effective coordination between relevant government agencies and other stakeholders;
Support the collaboration and communication between the project’s national stakeholders and project technical team and possible regional/international partners;
Following the annual and quarterly work plans, provide administrative support for the arrangements for workshops, trainings, seminars, field missions and recruitment of national and international consultants;
Carry out necessary arrangements and coordination needs to support field missions;
Support the development of the PR strategy for the project; assist with the preparation of visibility materials and communication materials by providing necessary inputs and information that will be used in outreach and mass media campaigns;
Provide assistance to all project staff and consultants;
Support the preparation of progress reports by providing relevant information and documents;
Support the overall monitoring of programme through providing necessary inputs on a regular basis;
Support the promotion of the project and its outputs and findings on national and international platforms;
Prepare draft minutes of meetings, share them and finalize them through collecting inputs in a timely manner;
Carry out any other activities relevant to the project as required.
University/Master’s degree on social or administrative sciences such as economics, statistics, business administration, political sciences, international relations, sociology, social work, development studies with a focus on rural and community development and/or a degree on agrarian sciences or agronomy with an understanding of social and economic dimensions of rural and agrarian contexts
Working knowledge of English and limited knowledge of one of the other FAO languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian) for Consultants.
Working knowledge of English is sufficient for PSA.SBS.
Minimum 3 years of working experience in similar assignments (project/program management).
