Tasks and responsibilities:
The Training and AI Development Specialist shall perform the following tasks jointly or in close cooperation with his colleague(s) and under the supervision of the director of the Goygol Breeding Centre:
Support the international consultants in organizing and conducting AI technicians training according to the international consultants TOR;
Attend the AI training conducted by the international consultants and learning their approach and methodology;
Conduct refresher training for AI technicians based on the available training materials, programs and manual prepared by FAO international experts;
Following the courses conducted by the international consultants, conduct courses for technicians that have had no previous experience in AI according to the program that has already been designed for this purpose;
Issue certificates to those technicians that have successfully completed the courses and that have worked in the field for three months with good results (criteria to be developed);
Provide regular training and guidance to AI technicians in the field (workshops at the regional centers, guidance during farm visits);
Develop a system to monitor performance of AI technicians: verify reports on inseminations, calving records, non-return data and farmer’s satisfaction; This include a follow up on AI technicians employment and identifying on a timely manner reasons for drop-off from their employment as AI technicians;
Identify bottlenecks in the development of AI services and recommend measures for improvement
