Tasks and responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the Head of FAO Partnership and Liaison Office in Azerbaijan, the direct supervision of LTO of the project and in close cooperation with project counterparts, the incumbent will perform the following activities:
• Overall project coordination and management and administration including finance and donor representation
• Identify and select partner Small Farmer Associations (SFAs)
• Use existing relationships in Azerbaijan to build support for the action and keeps contact with relevant stakeholders
• Facilitate meetings, visits, interviews and working sessions for consultants with relevant resource
• Organise and provide support to consultants and counterparts in carrying out the planned project activities, including during field visits
• Conduct information collection activities, including baseline studies, organisational review, value chain and market analysis for agro-food products, existing formal informal extension services in the region and tourism potential of the region
• Support design and implementation of awareness campaign about the project activates within the target communities as well as targeted to the wider public
• Perform monitoring and evaluation in close collaboration with the monitoring and evaluation expert to document change throughout action, documenting results, impact and lessons learned
• Manage all procurement and delivery activities
• Organise and coordinate information-sharing with other EU-funded as well as non-EU donor funded actions
• Support the organization of national and regional workshops as well as training workshops and community workshops/meetings
• Ensure that project activities are adequately integrated into EU and FAO programmes as well as Goa agenda
• Supports internal and external communication
Minimum Requirements:
• University/Master’s degree on social and administrative sciences such as economics, statistics, business administration, political sciences, international relations, sociology, social work, development studies and/or agronomy
• Minimum 7 years of experience in coordination/management of large-scale projects
• Working experience in agricultural value chains, including participatory value chain analysis working with a diverse group of stakeholders, including donor/development organizations, government officials, civil society leaders, community leaders, and project beneficiaries is an asset
• National of Azerbaijan or resident in the country with a regular work permit.
